Business Weak

Check out all the "diggs" (sorry) on the Business Week Kevin Rose article and cover photo.

"Kevin Rose dressed like a sixth-grader and giving two thumbs up? That goes beyond "goofy" into "mildly insulting."
-Valleywag

(I totally agree with this. That photo is so bubble it's insulting.)

"This week’s BusinessWeek cover story features a beaming Kevin Rose from Digg. Across his chest it says “How this kid made $60 million in 18 months.” ...it’s a blatent lie. ...They prove it themselves in the article: So far, Digg is breaking even on an estimated $3 million annually in revenues. Nonetheless, people in the know say Digg is easily worth $200 million."
-37 Signals

(How could they do this? Why would they do this?)

"Their idea of getting street cred among the tech-savvy/early-adopter/blogger crowd is this, and it sounds like a desperate ploy to stay relevant, even when they don’t have to."
-Paid Content

(Oh....That's why they did this.)

Even Calacanis, who should keep his mouth shut, chimes in. But commenter Ben Abbey takes the words from my mouth:
"Jason, this post is an innacurate and unfair personal attack. I suggest you remove it, and stop trying to inflame the situation."

There are more blog links out there, but I am not a digger nor am I getting paid to be a Navigator, so go find the rest of them yourself. But here's one more: John Burn's lispy podcast, produced by Business Week, about the cover story and it's writers. Tee hee.
