Colonel Tribune- Chicago Tribune wins in Social Media


Ok so I read more of that Speak Media Blog (the one with the video I just trashed) and found a great post about the Chicago Tribune's new social media effort which has shown actual increases in site traffic (ie RESULTS). They created a human/cartoon, "Colonel Tribune, an old man who slightly resembles Thurston Howell - with a moustache" and placed the character on several social sites. Then, they made friends online and fed content through him. Read her post for all the deets. Its pretty creative.
